Reissue of Warda's "We Malo" medley: vocals for sample

In the world of Arab music, she is considered the third pillar, alongside the Egyptian Oum Kalthoum and the Lebanese Fairouz . Although she was born in the suburbs of Paris and started very early in the cabaret run by her father in the heart of the Latin Quarter, Warda, "the Algerian Rose" , had part of her family roots in Beirut, Lebanon, where she lived and was married to one of the most prodigious Egyptian composers of the time, Baligh Hamdi .
It was the latter, recently married to the diva, who was at the helm of the album We Malo, recorded in the mid-1970s with a full Egyptian orchestra. With percussion in abundance and violins in the section, Warda was then at the height of his career, back in Cairo and in business.
